Unicorn Baby Lovey – Crochet Pattern

Hi! It’s Kylee from Okie Girl Bling n Things. I”m a crochet designer and blogger. I was so excited when Clover asked me to do a collaboration withthem! I decided to make this super cute,

Unicorn Baby Lovey. I absolutely love bright colors and thought it would be perfect to incorporate them into a colorful little lovey.

I’ve always enjoyed making baby items and this lovey was so fun to create! I quickly decided to use these fun and bright colors, but you could even usemore pastel colors or even just stripe 2 colors, depending on your preference. The lovey is simply a 2 row repeat, but the colors are what really makes it tostand out.

Let’s jump right into the details!

Assembly –

*Note on the ears – I fold the bottom sides together and sew just acrossthe bottom to make them look more like unicorn ears

Sometimes it is easier for me to use the straight pins and pin all thepieces to the head before I sew them on, to make sure they are lined upcorrectly.

Lightly stuff the nose with poly fil. Using the eyes as guide, stitch the noseon, adding more stuffing as you go.

Now, line the ears up and sew them to the head.

Next, stuff and sew on the horn.

I like to go ahead and finish the head by attaching all the curls to the head.

Once the Head is assembled, Set it aside and we will attach the arms tothe lovey first.

I like the head of my Unicorn to face the corner of the blanket, so I attachthe arms like this

You can now attach the head in the middle of the arms. I use the front loops from the row that we only crocheted in the back loops on thebottom of the head to sew through.

Weave in all ends and your Unicorn baby lovey is complete!
