DIY Reusable Bowl Covers
Hi everyone, it’s Cataleya (@happystitches_us on IG)! My newest project solves a kitchen mess. My mom makes sourdough constantly, and she was so tired of using wet towels. I decided she needed a set of “mobile” covers for her dough that were soft, pretty, and worked perfectly! Today, I’m making two sizes: one for my mom’s starter jar and one for her proofing bowl. MATERIALS: 45mm Rotary Cutter Water Erasable Tracing Paper Metal Hera with Stylus Double Tracing Tool Roll & Press Jumbo Wonder Clips Wonder Clips (standard size) Point…

Bunny Ears Easter Basket

I love making all types of bags, but since Easter is right around the corner, I really wanted to make a custom basket! I chose a beautiful floral cotton for the outside and a classic green gingham for the lining. The coolest part? I used my favorite Clover tools and embroidered my name, “Cat” right on the front and made these huge, floppy tie-top handles! Because I used a…

My Super Cute Valentine Mailbox!
Hi everyone, it’s Cataleya (@happystitches_us on IG)! Today I’m making something so cool—a Valentine’s Day Mailbox! I got the idea from my mom. She told me that when she was little, her whole class would decorate old tissue boxes for Valentine’s Day. I wanted to make a version out of fabric that I can keep forever! I picked out the prettiest light pink fabric with white flowers for the outside, a solid pink for the lining, and a touch of pink polka dots for the details. MATERIALS: Main Body (piece…

My newest project solves the “car-ride mess.” If you love sketching in the backseat like I do, you know how annoying it is when your sketchbook slides under the seat while you’re napping. MATERIALS: two 18 x 18 squares exterior (floral fabric) one 18 x18 square for the pocket (pink dotted fabric) 10″ piece of cotton webbing for the handle 1.5″ x 1″ strip of the floral…

Sew a Cozy Fabric Bowl for Homemade Bread — Perfect for Fall
Hi everyone! My name is Cataleya (@happystitches_us on IG), and I’m a 10-year-old sewist wanted to sew a fabric bowl for my homemade sourdough bread — something soft, cozy, and perfectly “fall.” I picked a daisy print cotton fabric for the outside and a deep mushroom-green lining for the inside. Together, they felt like how I envision autumn: warm, natural, and just a little bit whimsical. From there, I started creating this cozy reversible bowl, filled with texture, color, and a tiny nod to the change of seasons! MATERIALS:…

Back to School: Create a Roll-Up Crayon Holder!
Hi friends! It’s Cataleya here! I’m new to the Clover blog rotation, but you can check out my IG @happystitches_us 🙂 I’m 10 years old, and my life revolves around sewing and my new golden-doodle puppy Flora! I’ve been sewing something fun for Back-to-School—a Roll-Up Crayon Holder! I got the idea because my little brothers always bring their big, chunky crayons everywhere, and they prefer their own crayons to the ones at restaurants. So I made this roll-up case to keep them neat for car rides, lessons, or just drawing…
