Yo-Yo Pillow Tutorial – Sewing Project
One of my favorite crafty/quilty projects is the ever classic yo-yo. I love how all it takes is a scrap of fabric and a few minutes to stitch it up into the cutest little thing, and then add that cute little thing to a project and you have something extra special.

Quick Guide to: Trace ‘n Create Templates by Faith Essenburg
This week I have been playing with templates from Clover called Trace ‘n Create Quilt and I just had the most fun with them. I decided on both projects that I would make pillow covers and although similar in make and form they came out totally different and I love each one! I started with the Lone Star Collection and a stack of Anna Maria Horner fabrics.

This week my son and I had the opportunity to try the Clover Embroidery Stitching Tool to make some sweet hoop art. We had never tried this method of stitching but were absolutely mesmerized by some of the videos we had seen of it being done.

By Faith Essenburg This week I had the chance to try out Clover’s newest product; the Flexible Rubber Thimbles and they came just in time for my latest hand quilting project. They come in sets of two, with three sizes so of course I had to give them all a try to find the perfect fit.

Easy Cutting Tips for English Paper Piecing
I wanted to share with you a few easy tips I use for cutting my fabrics to English Paper Piece. On my first EPP project I had acrylic templates making it easy to cut the fabric shapes, this time around I don’t have cutting templates and my first block was a bit messy and wasted more fabric than I like to.

Thimble Overview
A while back I had the chance to try out some Clover thimbles. I was working on a hand quilting project and the one I had purchased from another brand had worn out very quickly (nothing like finding that out the hard way with a sharp poke!).
