Plant Hanger *crochet pattern*

MATERIALS:

ABBREVIATIONS:

  • ch: chain
  • st: stitch
  • sl st: slip stitch
  • sc: single crochet
  • hdc: half double crochet
  • dc: double crochet
  • tr: triple crochet

PATTERN:

Ch 5, join with a sl st to the first ch to form a ring.

  • Round 1: Ch 3 (count as 1 dc), 11 dc in the ring. Join with a sl st to the top of the
  • beginning ch 3.
  • Round 2: Ch 3, 1 dc in the same st as joining, ch 1, *1 dc in the next st, ch 1,* repeat from * around joining with a sl st in 2nd ch of the beginning ch 3.
  • Round 3: Sl st into next ch sp, ch 3 (count as dc), 1 dc in same sp, ch 1, *2 dc in next ch sp, ch 1,* repeat from * around joining with a sl st to the 2nd ch of the beginning ch 3. Sl st to next sp.
  • Round 4: Sl st into next ch sp, Ch 3, 1 dc in same sp, ch 1, 1 dc in next sp, ch 1, *[1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc] in between next two dc, ch 1, 1 dc in the next sp, ch 1,* repeat from * around joining with a sl st to the 2nd ch of the beginning ch 3.
  • Round 5: Ch 2, 1 hdc in the same st as joining. *1 hdc in the next dc, 2 hdc in the next dc* repeat from * around joining with a sl st to the first hdc.
  • Round 6: Ch 2, 1 hdc in the first st and in each st around. Join with a sl st in the first hdc.
  • Round 7-11: Ch 3, 1 tr in the first st and in each st around. Join with a sl st to the first tr.
  • Round 12: Ch 1, 1 sc in each of the first 18 sts, ch 47, 1 hdc in the 3rd ch from the hook and in each ch across, 1 sc in the next st back on the the row, 1 sc in the next 19 sts, ch 47, 1 hdc in the 3rd ch from the hook and in each ch across, 1 sc in the next st back on the the row, 1 sc in the next 19, ch 47, 1 hdc in the 3rd ch from the hook and in each ch across, 1 sc in the next st back on the the row, join with a sl st to the first sc. Finish off. You will have three strands.

Now take the ends of the three strands you just made and place the wooden ring in between them. With your tapestry needle, sew the tops of them together, then sew underneath the ring to secure it in place. Reference images below!
