The WearEver Wrap

Hi everyone! My name is Amy Barickman, and I am a creative arts entrepreneur with 30+ years of experience in the craft industry! I’ve always been inspired by all things vintage and has curated a personal collection of fabrics, quilts, notions, and sewing books and patterns. I’m very passionate about helping others find inspiration for handmade projects and to cultivate more joy in their everyday living through needle and thread! My designers and I have released over 1,000 patterns and published 80 books (you may know our book Vintage Notions!)

Do you love to make gifts for friends and family? Why not try the WearEver Wrap? This easy-to-sew shrug pattern is for EVERY person, EVERY season, and EVERY occasion!

Watch this pattern introduction video to see a few more fabric options, including the double gauze version I am wearing. For a look inside the pattern, watch the video below. Keep in mind the pattern includes six sizes and three sleeve lengths.  Plan ahead, make a wraps for every member of your family for a birthday, Valentine’s Day or to match their Christmas PJs. Ready to start sewing?  Order the PDF pattern today. Your local fabric store can stock the printed version, just ask them to order you the pattern. To take a look inside this pattern before buying, click HERE! This pattern offers tips and techniques for sewing with polar fleece, batiks, double gauze, knits and yarn dyed wovens as well as the Luxe Cuddle® Plush you see pictured below. You have the choice of an elastic cuff or to leave the sleeve loose.

When it comes to drawing the elastic through your cuff casing there are several Clover tools I recommend. Four videos that showcase these tools are part of the WearEver Wrap Online Bonus Content that is accessible via a QR code inside the pattern. One of my favorites is the Easy Loop Turner you see pictured. It is especially helpful drawing elastic through the casing of thicker fabrics like the Luxe® Cuddle Plush and Polar Fleece. The Clover Flex ‘n Glide Bodkins work well for lighter weight fabrics.

For an elegant occasion this pattern can be a perfect companion to a sleeve dress. A fun fashion to wear to a party or wedding! Pick a fun color plush or fur and sew up a WearEver Wrap for the holidays. Whether you are attending a cocktail party or cozying up on the couch, the WearEver Wrap will keep you warm!
