Let’s get started!

Icing (in Candyfloss yarn)

Find the premium PDF for purchase HERE. The pattern bundle can be found at its discounted price for the duration of the CAL. Thank you for supporting my designs!

Make a slipknot, ch 10, slst to the first st to make a loop [10]

rnd 1: sc all around [10]

rnd 2: (sc, inc) x5 [15]

Cut a short tail and use the invisible finish. Stuff the tail from the slipknot into the donut at the end.

Donut (in Nougat yarn)

Make a slipknot and insert your hook into the st next to the “fake st” created by the invisible finish to join the new color.

*Note: The method of working in the back loops only in the next two rounds helps create a straight line instead of a zig zagged one.

rnd 3: (blo) – loosely slst all around [15]

rnd 4: (blo) – sc all around [15]

rnd 5: (sc, dec) x5 [10]

Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.

Sprinkles

step 1: Cut a strand of White embroidery thread.

step 2: Use your yarn needle to weave in different directions on the icing and make the sprinkles 1 st wide.

step 3: Tie the thread tails in a knot.

Assembly

step 1: Use the Nougat yarn tail to sew into the foundation ch of the icing, stuffing with yarn scraps as you go.

step 2: Bury any excess tails.

*Tip: If the center of your donut is looking too small, stretch it out on your crochet handle or a pencil!

You’re finished!
