Spring is here! This time or season brings new life to plants, trees, and other vegetation. It is also a time for us to do our spring cleaning and sometimes or most of the time, we don’t just clean but get new things for our house and ourselves!
Hi friends! My name is Elisa, I am the maker and designer of Strings and Cuddles. I am here again to share with you a new crochet pattern! Something that you can add to your spring decoration, actually any time of the year! I have shared a similar pattern before and since I received a few download notifications on this pattern I thought that creating a new design would be a great idea. Curious about what pattern I was talking about? Well, check out My Blooming Lantern pattern which I shared here 3 years ago!
Anyway, let’s talk about this new design that I am so thrilled to share with you today! As I mentioned, it is a great addition to your home decorations. The pattern name of my new design was inspired by capiz shells from my country, the Philippines! This kind of shell is a durable and widely available alternative to glass and is used to make house accessories and even pieces of jewelry. For this reason, I named my new pattern the Capiz Lampshade!
The Capiz Lampshade pattern features the shell crochet stitch and that’s another reason for the pattern name. This pattern is an easy-to-make project as it has only 2-row repeat and can be modified to any size of your choice. Easy peasy, right?
Now, let’s get started!
