Sea Waves KAL Week 4

Welcome to week four of the Sea Waves KAL!

Last week we finished the neckline increases and broke for the body. If you haven’t started yet don’t worry, just head over to week one to catch up! This week we will completing the body portion! There are instructions for the body portion with and without bustline shaping.

Materials:

  • DK Weight Yarn (any DK weight that meets gauge will work! I used Mountains of Yarn DK in Deep Seas.
  • Interchangeable Knitting Needles No. 7 – Art.  No 3637 (I recommend interchangeable needles, its way easier to switch to longer cords! You will need sizes 16in-36in cords)
  • Clover Tapestry Needle (to weave in ends) – Art. No 3113
  • Quick Locking Stitch Marker Set – Art. No 3033
  • Knitting Counter (optional, but really helpful for keeping track of what row you’re on!) – Art. No 336

Abbreviations:

K = knit

KTOG = Knit Two Together 

Pattern Notes:

  • This pattern is worked continuously in the round, until the lace section (specific details regarding the lace section will be provided on week 5
  • This pattern is made as a top down pattern, with increases in the yoke
  • Check out week one’s post for sizing guidelines and yardage.
  • This pattern is written as XS (S, M, L, XL) (2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL)

Without Bustline Shaping 

Row 1: K around

Repeat row 2 until you have reached 5 inches above your desired length

With Bustline Shaping 

Row 1: K around

Repeat row 1 until you have knit past your bust, then continue to row 2

Row 2: KTOG, K, KTOG, K75 (85, 95, 105, 115) (125, 135, 145, 155), KTOG, K, KTOG, K75 (85, 95, 105, 115) (125, 135, 145, 155)

Row 3: K around

Row 4: K around

Row 5: KTOG, K, KTOG, K73 (83, 93, 103, 113) (123, 133, 143, 153), KTOG, K, KTOG, K73 (83, 93, 103, 113) (123, 133, 143, 153)

Row 6: K around

Row 7: K around 

Row 8: KTOG, K74 (84, 94, 104, 114) (124, 134, 144, 154), KTOG, K74 (84, 94, 104, 114) (124, 134, 144, 154)

Repeat row 9 until you have reached 5 inches above your desired length
