Our friend Nancy Zieman created the most adorable tutorial to make a chalkboard roll up for the little people in our lives. We love how she uses Clover Wonder Clips to hold the binding in place for stitching. Here’s a link to the full tutorial. Just imagine how great this would be to take along on vacation to keep little hands busy during travel time. Thanks for sharing your creative ideas with us Nancy.

Clam Shell Embellishments
The Clam Shell is about creative embellishments and I had a great time cross stitching, embroidering with Clover’s Kantan beading tool and needle punching designs on one with Clover’s Needle Punch tool. I made two using designer fabrics and turned them into evening clutches with a closure and fancy button. So far we seem to visit on the Saturday that Melanie works. My other boys and their wives live in the Seattle area too so our visits are often filled with family gatherings. In order for Mel and me to get good solid sewing time together…I need to be there during the week. So I pack up my “office”…
