Soap Saver *crochet pattern*

The soap saver is designed to hold your bar of soap while giving you a little extra texture for a gentle scrub. Plus, it helps keep those slippery little soap bars contained and makes them easier to use right down to the last bit. MATERIALS:

• Clover J/6.00mm Clover Amour Crochet Hook
• Clover Patchwork Scissors (mini)
• Clover Darning Needle
• worsted-weight cotton yarn 

ABBREVIATIONS: 

• ch – chain
• chs – chains                                                                                                                                                                                                                   
• st – stitch
• sc – single crochet
• hdc – half double crochet
• dc – double crochet
• sl st – slip stitch
• rep – repeat

SOAP SAVER PATTERN:

• Ch 33
• Row 1: Sk 2 chs (counts as 1 sc), work [1 hdc, 1 dc] into the next ch, *sk 2 chs, work [1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc] into the next ch; rep from * to the last 3 chs, sk 2 chs, 1 sc into the last ch, turn. 
• Row 2: Ch 1 (counts as 1 sc), work [1 hdc, 1 dc] into the 1st st, *sk 1 dc and 1 hdc, work [1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc] into the next sc; rep from * to the last 3 sts, sk [1 dc and 1 hdc], 1 sc into the top of the turning ch, turn. 
• Repeat Row 2 nine more times. Leave a long tail and cut yarn.

• Fold your piece in half. Using a darning needle, whip stitch along one side to close it. Repeat on the opposite side, leaving the top open.

• Once both sides are sewn closed, turn your piece right side out to hide the seams. Now you’re ready to move on to the top border!
• Attach yarn anywhere along the top and ch 1. Sc evenly around the top, join with a slip stitch to the first sc. Finish off, weave in ends.
• Make a ch of 60 and then weave your ch in and out of the sc stitches to make a drawstring.
