Personalized Pizza *crochet pattern*

National Pepperoni Pizza Day is coming up on September 20th! This personalized pizza makes the yummiest addition to any play kitchen. Not a pepperoni fan? No worries – we’ve got plenty of fun toppings to mix, match, and make your perfect slice.

MATERIALS:

• Clover Amour Hook (2.75 mm)
• Clover Patchwork Scissors (small)
• Clover Stitch Markers
• Clover Yarn Needle
• Clover Darning Needle
• #3 light worsted cotton yarn
  • beige – crust
  • light yellow – cheese
  • dark red – tomato sauce
  • red – pepperoni
  • dark gray – olive
  • light green – bell pepper
  • dark green – bell pepper
  • dark yellow – pineapple
  • pink – ham

NOTES:

• The pattern is worked in joined rounds and rows.

• Measurements: 5 in. in diameter if using the prescribed materials

PIZZA PATTERN:

CRUST

Using your chosen color yarn with a 2.75 mm Clover Amour Hook:

• Note: The crust is made in joined rnds. The starting ch counts as the first st.
• Round 1: make a magic circle, ch 2 (counts as your first dc), 11 dc, slst into the first st to join the rnd [12]
• Round 2: ch 2, dc into the same st, (dc-inc) x11, slst into the first st to join the rnd [24]
• Round 3: ch 2, dc into the same st, dc into the next st, (dc-inc, dc) x11, slst into the first st to join the rnd [36]
• Round 4: ch 2, dc into the same st, dc into the next 2 sts, (dc-inc, 2 dc) x11, slst into the first st to join the rnd [48]
• Round 5: ch 2, dc into the same st, dc into the next 3 sts, (dc-inc, 3 dc) x11, slst into the first st to join the round [60]
• Round 6: (blo) ch 2, dc into the same st, dc into the next 4 sts, (dc-inc, 4 dc) x11, slst into the first st to join the round [72]
• Round 7: ch 2, dc into the next 71 sts, slst into the first st to join the rnd [72]
• Round 8: ch 2, dc into the next 3 sts, dc-dec, (4 dc, dc-dec) x11, slst into the first st to join the round [60]

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Use the Clover Darning Needle and fold the last rnd inward so that the ws is visible. 

Whipstitch the edge to the remaining loops in round 5 and weave in the remaining ends. No need to stuff the crust.

 

PIZZA SAUCE

Using dark red yarn and a 2.75 mm Clover Amour Hook:

• Note: The pizza sauce  is made in joined rnds. The starting ch counts as the first st.
• Round 1: make a magic circle, ch 2 (counts as your first dc), 11 dc, slst into the first st to join the rnd [12]
• Round 2: ch 2, dc into the same st, (dc-inc) x11, slst into the first st to join the rnd [24]
• Round 3: ch 2, dc into the same st, dc into the next st, (dc-inc, dc) x11, slst into the first st to join the rnd [36]
• Round 4: ch 2, dc into the same st, dc into the next 2 sts, (dc-inc, 2 dc) x11, slst into the first st to join the rnd [48]
• Round 5: (slst, sc into the next 2 sts, hdc-inc into the next st, sc into the next 2 sts) x8, slst into the first st to join the rnd [56]

Fasten off and leave a short tail for weaving in. 

 

CHEESE

Using light yellow yarn and a 2.75 mm Clover Amour Hook:

• Note: The cheese is made in joined rnds. The starting ch counts as the first st.
• Round 1: make a magic circle, ch 2 (counts as your first dc), 11 dc, slst into the first st to join the rnd [12]
• Round 2: ch 2, dc into the same st, (dc-inc) x11, slst into the first st to join the rnd [24]
• Round 3: ch 2, dc into the same st, dc into the next st, (dc-inc, dc) x11, slst into the first st to join the rnd [36]
• Round 4: ch 2, dc into the same st, dc into the next 2 sts, (dc-inc, 2 dc) x11, slst into the first st to join the rnd [48]

Fasten off and leave a short tail for weaving in. 

 

PEPPERONI

Using bright red yarn and a 2.75 mm Clover Amour Hook, make 6:

• Note: The pepperoni is made in joined rnds. The starting ch counts as the first st.
• Round 1: make a magic circle, ch 2 (counts as your first hdc), 9 hdc [10]

Use the invisible finish and weave in the ends. 

 

OLIVES

Using black yarn and a 2.75 mm Clover Amour Hook, make 3:

• ch 6, slst into the first st to form a loop.
• Round 1: working into the center of the loop, not into the individual sts, ch 1 (counts as first st), make 6 sc [7]

Use the invisible finish and weave in the ends.

GREEN BELL PEPPERS

Starting in light green yarn and a 2.75 mm Clover Amour Hook, make 3:

• ch 12, slst into the first st to form a loop in dark green yarn to join the rnd.

Cut the light green yarn. Join dark green yarn. 

• Note: Crochet over the 3 short yarn tails when working the next rnd. Alternatively, weave them in at the end.
• Round 1: working into the individual sts, (slst, sc, hdc-inc, sc) x3 [15]

Use the invisible finish and weave in the ends.

 

 

PINEAPPLE SLICES

Using dark yellow yarn and a 2.75 mm Clover Amour Hook, make 3:

• Note: Work in rows. 
• Row 1: ch 3, work into the second ch from the hook, sc into the next 2 sts [2]
• Row 2: ch 1, turn, sc, inc [3]
• Row 3: ch 1, turn, 2 sc, inc [4]
• Row 4: ch 1, turn, 4 sc [4]

Fasten off and leave a short tail for weaving in. 

 

HAM

Using pink yarn and a 2.75 mm Clover Amour Hook:

• Note: Though we start the ham slice off in a magic circle, we will be working in rows. Be sure to crochet over the starting yarn tail.
• Row 1: make a magic circle and (sc) x6 [6]

Pull the magic circle closed. 

• Row 2: ch 1, turn, (sc, inc) x3 [9]

Fasten off and leave a short tail for weaving in.
