Pumpkin Spice Latte Plushie! *free full crochet pattern*
Fall is here, and what better way to celebrate than with a cozy crochet project? This free pattern will guide you through creating an adorable pumpkin spice latte plushie, perfect for adding a touch of autumn to your home or gifting to a fellow PSL lover!
MATERIALS:
- Clover Amour Hook (9.00 mm)
- Clover Amour Hook 5.00 mm
- Darning Needle Set
- Patchwork Scissors
- polyfil
- super bulky yarn
- in orange, yellow, and cream
- worsted weight yarn
- in cream and brown
NOTES:
- skill level: beginner
INSTRUCTIONS:
CUP:
With orange, start with a magic circle, ch 1.
- Round 1: 6 sc in the magic circle. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (6 sc)
- Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (12 sc)
- Round 3: Ch 1, *1 sc in the first st, 2 sc in the next st*, repeat around. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (18 sc)
- Round 4: Ch 1, *1 sc in the first 2 sts, 2 sc in the next st*, repeat around. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (24 sc)
- Round 5: Ch 1, *1 sc in the first 3 sts, 2 sc in the next st*, repeat around. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (30 sc)
- Round 6: Ch 1, *1 sc in the first 4 sts, 2 sc in the next st*, repeat around. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (36 sc)
- Round 7: Ch 1, in BLO place 1 sc in each st around. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (36 sc)
- Round 8 to 24: Ch 1, 1 sc in each st around. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (36 sc)
- Finish off.
CUP SLEEVE:
With yellow, ch 7.
- Row 1: 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn.
- Row 2-35 (or until the sleeve fits around the cup): 1 sc in each st across. Ch 1, turn.
- Leave a long tail, finish off.
- Join each end of the sleeve and whip stitch them together.
With white:
- Join yarn along any stitch on the sleeve and make a row of sc evenly around.
- Repeat along the other side of the sleeve.
WHIPPED CREAM TOPPING:
With white, ch 36, join with a sl st to the first ch to form a ring (be sure to not twist your ch).
- Round 1: *1 sc, 1 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc,* repeat around, join with a sl st to the first sc.
- Round 2: Ch 2, BLO 1 hdc in each st around. Join with a sl st to the first hdc.
- Round 3: Ch 2, *hdc dc, 1 sc, 1 sc, 1 dc,* repeat around until your last two sts, hdc dc over the last two sts. Join with a sl st to the first hdc.
- Round 4: Ch 1, BLO 1 sc in the first 4 sts, sc dec, *1 sc in the next 4 sts, sc dec,* repeat around. Join with a sl st in the first sc.
- Round 5: Ch 2, BLO 1 dc in the first st, dc dec, *dc in the next st, dc dec,* repeat around. Join with a sl st in the first dc.
- Round 6: Ch 1, BLO 1 sc in first st, *sc dec, sc in the next st,* repeat around. Join with a sl st to the first sc.
- Round 7: Ch 1, BLO *hdc dec,* repeat around. Join with a sl st to the first hdc. Finish off. Enclose the top.
- Now place the cream inside the cup about an inch and then sew the cream around the edge of the cup leaving an opening for the stuffing. Once stuffed, finish sewing up the rest.
PUMPKIN APPLIQUE:
With white, start with a magic circle.
- Round 1: Ch 1, 9 dc in the magic circle, pull tight, join with a sl st to the first dc.
- Round 2: Ch 2 (counts as a dc), 1 dc in the same st, 2 dc in each of the next three sts, sl st in the next st, 2 dc in each of the next 4 sts, sl st in the sl st that closed the first round.
- Finish off, weave in ends.
PUMPKIN STEM:
With brown, ch 5.
- Row 1: 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and in each st across. Finish off. Sew onto top of pumpkin.
- Sew Pumpkin onto cup sleeve.
CINNAMON STICK:
With brown, ch 11.
- Row 1: 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn.
- Row 2: 1 sc in each st across. Finish off leaving a long tail.
- Fold piece in half longways and then whip stitch the sides together.
- Stick into the top of the whipped cream.
