Flower Wreath- Crochet Pattern

I love using crochet to personalize something we already have at home or something inexpensive from a dollar section to make it more unique. Adding crocheted flowers to something always makes me happy, so today I’m creating a floral wreath with bright, springy vibes!

Materials:

  • Clover amour soft touch hook in various sizes. I’m using a:
  • Amour Crochet Hook G 4.00mm- Art No. 1045/G
Amour Crochet Hook 5.5mm- Art No. 1048/ I
  • Yarn:  in colors of your choice
  • Scissors
  • Clover Darning Needle Set – Art No. 339
  • Hot glue
    Wreath
  •  9 inch faux Boxwood style wreath

Stitches and Abbreviations: Chain (ch), slip stitch (ss), single crochet (sc), Half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc)

Daisy Flowers: Using color of your choice, make a magic circle or chain 2 with 9 scs. Join with a slip stitch. Attach a new color to make the petals. All in the first stitch: Ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, and slip stitch. This completes the first petal. Ch 2 and skip a stitch. In the following stitch repeat: *ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, and ss*. Ch 2 and skip a stitch in between petals. Repeat around until you have 5 petals. Tie off and weave
in your ends on the back of the flower.

Wrap Flowers: I like to make some flowers with the G hook and some with I, to create different sizes. Using your yarn color of choice, chain 18. All in the second chain from the hook, *sc, 2 hdc, ch1, ss, then skip the next stitch*. Repeat the previous steps to the end of the chain, creating 9 petals. Leave a long tail of yarn. Wrap/arrange your flower starting from the center, sewing the petals together as you see fit. Tie off in the back.

Add your flowers to your wreath and you’re done!
