• #4 yarn in stem + pumpkin colors
Impeccable from Michael’s
• Clover 3.5 mm hook- Art No. 1043/E
• Scissors
• Yarn needle
• Stuffing
• 1 piece of thread (as stitch marker)

Pumpkin

Rnd 1 With #4 yarn in stem color and 3.5 mm hook,
8 SC in magic circle. (8) Sl st to first SC to close.
Rnd 2 Ch 2. In BLO, DC around. (8) Sl st to first DC.
Rnd 3 Ch 2. FPDC around. (8) Sl st to first FPDC.
Rnd 4 Ch 2. [HDC + FPDC] 8x. (16) Sl st to first HDC,
and end with stem color on hook.
Rnd 5 Change to pumpkin color, and draw up a loop
to ch 1 in new color. Stuff tails into stem.

With a long piece of thread, mark first SC of each rnd.
In BLO starting in same st where you made sl st,
[INC] 16x. (32) Work continuously in a spiral, do not sl st.

Rnd 6 [SC + ch 1] 32x. (64 including chs)
Rnd 7 In first SC, [SC + ch 1]. Continuing in ch sps only,
[SC + ch 1] 32x. (66 including chs)
Rnd 8-27 (20 rnds) In ch sps only, [SC + ch 1] 33x.
(66 including chs)
Rnd 28 Push sts close together as you work.
In ch sps only, SC around. (33)
Start stuffing.

Rnd 29 [DEC] 16x, 1 st remaining. (17)
Finish stuffing.
Rnd 30 Starting in remaining st from last rnd, [DEC] 8x,
1 st remaining. (9)
Rnd 31 Starting in remaining st from last rnd, [DEC] 2x,
5 sts remaining. (7)
Cut yarn, and whip st through 7 FLO to close hole.
Hide tail inside

This pumpkin is 65 sts around (SC + ch 1 is staggered).
You can divide into 6 lobes of ~11 sts each (1 lobe is 10 sts),
or 8 lobes of ~8 sts each (1 lobe is 9 sts).

Lobes Thread a long piece of yarn through needle. Insert
through bottom of stem, weave in and out a few rnds,
continue straight down in every other rnd SC FLO, through
bottom 2 rnds of pumpkin, and up opposite side. Pull on
ends, double knot, and hide tails inside. Repeat around.
