MR – magic ring
sl st – slip stitch
dec – crochet two stitches together (decreasing)
inc – crochet two stitches into the same stitch (increasing)

Mother Duck
Body – (white)
- Place 6 sc into a MR (6)
- inc around (12)
- sc, inc* (18)
- sc 2, inc* (24)
5-7. sc around (24)
- sc 2, dec (18)
Insert the safety eyes in-between rounds 5 and 6. Place them 6 stitches apart.

Stuff the head.
- inc around (24)

14-16. sc around (30)

- sc 2, dec* (18)
Stuff the body. Continue to stuff as you go.

Fasten off and sew shut. Weave in tail.
Beak – (orange)
- ch 4
- starting in the second ch from the hook, sc 2, sc 3 into the last stitch
- turn and crochet down the other side, sc 2, sc 3 into the last stitch (10)

- sl st and fasten off. Leave a tail for sewing.
Wings – (white) X2
- Place 6 sc into a MR (6)
- sc, inc* (9)
- sc around (9)
- sc along the top to shut the wing. Leave a tail for sewing.
Feet – (orange) X2
- Place 4 sc into a MR (4)
- ch 1, turn your work, inc in each stitch. (8)
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing. Weave in the MR starting tail.
Assembly: Sew the beak in-between and just below the eyes. Attach wings on each side of the body at round 11. Sew the feet to the bottom of the duck.
Duckling
Body – (yellow)
- sc 6 into a MR (6)
- inc around (12)
- sc, inc* (18)
4-5. sc around (18)
Insert safety eyes in-between rounds 4 and 5, 4 stitches apart. Embroider the beak in-between and below the eyes. Feel free to embroider the beak at the end if you wish.

Stuff the head.
- sc, dec* (8)
- inc around (16)
- sc 3, inc* (20)
10-11. sc around (20)
- sc 3, dec* (16)
Begin to stuff the body. Continue to stuff as you go.

Fasten off and sew shut. Weave in tail.
Use a scrap of yellow yarn and place “feathers” on top of the head. Use a yarn needle and thread thru a stitch on top of the head and tie in a knot. Trim to your liking.
Wings – (yellow) X2
- sc 4 into a MR (4)
- sc, inc* (6)
- sc along the top to shut the wing. Leave a tail for sewing.
Feet – (orange) X2
- Place 2 sc into a MR (2)
- ch 1, turn your work, inc in each stitch. (4)
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing. Weave in the MR starting tail.
Assembly: Attach wings on each side of the body at round 9. Sew the feet to the bottom of the duck.
