Bluff Trail Beanie

Hello! This is Kathy Olivarez, the designer behind Kathy’s Crochet Closet. I’m thrilled to be back on the Clover Blog with a new crochet project: the Bluff Trail Beanie!

Beanie season is in full swing, and my maker friends are looking for quick hat designs to make for themselves and for gifts. Well, look no further! The Bluff Trail Beanie is made with top-down construction using basic crochet stitches and one skein of yarn. You’ll be able to make a bunch of them in no time at all! The fitted beanie is topped with a faux fur pompom. You will love wearing it or gifting it!

The yarn I used for this project is Loops & Threads Cozy Wool, a super bulky weight yarn that comes in lots of beautiful colors. The hook is my favorite Clover Amour hook in the size M/N 9mm. This hook feels so comfortable in your hand and even chunky yarn will glide as you stitch. The finished beanie will measure approximately 8 inches from the top of the hat to the edge.

Let’s get started!
