DIY Spring Fabric Floral Garland

Happy Spring! Elizabeth here, and I am the DIY and Craft blogger behind Country Peony. Today I want to share a charming Spring decoration using Clover’s Flower Frill Template.

This time of year I take huge inspiration for my DIY projects from nature, and the gorgeous flowers that are abundant. I thought it would be fun to use Clover’s fantastic Flower Frill Template to create a happy and sweet Spring Fabric Floral Garland that would look beautiful as part of a tablescape, over a doorway, or on a mantle.

You may know that I am a big fan of Clover’s products as witnessed by some of my recent posts: DIY Pom-Pom Lamp Shade, DIY Felt Heart Valentine’s Day Wreath, and DIY Personalized Rosette Ribbon Gift Topper.

Today I am working with Clover’s Flower Frill Template. Their Flower Frill Template makes it so easy and fun to create consistent fabric flowers in less time, every time. I love playing with the different size templates in different fabrics to make cute projects from necklaces to whimsical gift bows. The best part is that you can use fabric scraps to make your own flowers.

Other than using your fabric scraps, the beauty in this DIY is that you can use customize it to any type of fabric or color you want. I recommend a fabric that is either a solid color or that has a print on both sides, since you will see both sides of the fabric on the finished flower. For this project, I used faux silk satin and tulle. I love the variety and texture that the tulle offers, and the sheen and opulence that the satin brings. I wanted some fun and unique colors for Spring which is why I chose rich blues and greens, freshened with lovely blush. When choosing a color palette, I recommend choosing three colors (black and white not included).
