Hello Everyone! Elizabeth here, and I am the DIY and Craft blogger behind Country Peony. Today I want to share a topic that is near and dear to my heart: crafting with children with Clover’s kid-friendly crafting tools.
At a very young age my mother used to craft with me. She ignited my creativity and my love for crafting. Now that I have three young children, I want to do the same for them. So I try to incorporate crafting projects wherever I can. My 5-year-old daughter especially loves to craft with me.
I am so excited to have my daughter craft with me today to showcase some of the amazing tools that Clover has that are kid-friendly. These tools are not only great for children, but they are wonderful tools for beginner crafters.
Enjoy the video below showcasing my daughter crafting with some of Clover’s tools, and then follow along to see some of our favorite kid-friendly crafting tools by Clover.
Pom-Pom Maker
Art No. 3124, 3126, 3127, 3128, & 3129
You may know that Clover’s Pom-Pom Maker is one of my favorite crafting tools as you can see from some of my recent projects: the DIY Colorful Pom-Pom Christmas Tree, the DIY Pom-Pom Heart Wreath for Valentine’s Day, the DIY Pom-Pom Summer Floral Arrangement, the DIY Christmas Village Pom-Pom Wreath, and more recently the DIY Pom-Pom Lampshade.
Clover’s Pom-Pom Maker is quickly becoming my daughter’s favorite tool as well as you can see below.
I love that my 5-year-old daughter can create pom-poms on her own using Clover’s Pom-Pom Makers with minimal help from me. She enjoys making accessories for her dolls, and adding embellishments to her purses with her handmade pom-poms.
The perfect tool for your child to craft with: Clover’s Pom-Pom Makers make it so easy and fun to create consistent and cute pom-poms every time in less time. Plus, the different sizes allow them to experiment with so many different projects. The possibilities are endless!
Tassel Maker
Another favorite tool that makes its way to our kitchen table (crafting area) often is Clover’s Tassel Maker. Some of the fun projects that I enjoyed incorporating tassels into are the DIY Pom-Pom & Tassel Bunny Garland from last Easter, and the DIY Pom-Pom Tassel Bag Charm.
Clover’s Tassel Maker is a fun tool that my daughter and I use together.
My daughter helps me wrap the yarn around the maker, and I help her cut the yarn and tie it off.
My daughter loves using her tassels to make more doll accessories, and to incorporate into her handmade jewelry.
Just like the Pom-Pom Maker, Clover’s Tassel Maker makes it so easy and fun to create consistent and cute tassels every time in less time. Plus, the two different size options allow you to experiment with so many unique project possibilities whether you are working with yarn, embroidery floss, or ribbon!
Wonder Knitter
Clover’s Wonder Knitter is a new tool to me, but I am having so much fun playing with it. My daughter has even started helping me as you can see from the video and pictures below.
She loves to make necklaces and bracelets out of the finished products.
Even though my 5-year-old daughter isn’t quite old enough to be able to use Clover’s Wonder Knitter exclusively on her own just yet, I know she will be soon.
It is a wonderful tool for children to work on their fine motor skills. I also love the instant gratification as you see the yarn transform right before your eyes!
Needle Felting Tool
I love the whimsical and sweet look of felt, but I was always intimidated by the crafting process to create felt. However, Clover has made it so easy to create your own custom felt embellishments with their Needle Felting Tools. Last Fall, I created a Felt Pumpkin Wreath with Clover, and this Valentine’s Day I created DIY Felt Heart Valentine’s Day Wreath.
Clover’s Needle Felting Tool is my daughter’s favorite tool. She loves mixing the colors of wool to create her own custom felt.
With proper safety instructions before every crafting session and because of the guard on the felting needle tool, I feel comfortable with my daughter creating on her own. I also love that she can work on her scissor skills by cutting the felt into different shapes for her different projects.
We like to add her felt shapes to her art projects, and to her doll house as pillows, blankets, or wall art.
Thank you so much for following along today. I hope this inspires you to pick up some of these crafting tools to create with your children, or to inspire any beginner crafter to start creating.
Thank you to Clover for this very fun opportunity to work with my daughter.
I can’t wait to see all of your charming craft projects with your children. Please tag me @thecountrypeony, and use the #countrypeony so I can see and share your project.
Thank you so much for following along today.
Happy Crafting!
Elizabeth
