Tunisian Fade Shawl – Tunisian Crochet Pattern

Happy November! I’m so happy to be back on Clover USA’s blog! I’m Alex, the crochet and Tunisian crochet designer behind With Alex and I’m so excited to share my new crochet pattern, the Tunisian Fade Shawl.

I love how the length of this shawl makes it so that it can be worn like a vintage shawl or it can also be worn as a thick, cozy scarf.

I used my Clover Interchangeable Tunisian Crochet Hook Set to design and crochet my Tunisian Fade Shawl and it was wonderful to use this set because it comes with different lengths of cords so I was able to choose one that was long enough but not too long. I love using this set to crochet with!

The Tunisian Fade Shawl uses only one stitch, the Tunisian knit stitch, and simple color changes at the ends of rows, which makes this a great beginner Tunisian crochet project or an easy and mindless make for a more experienced crocheter. If you have never tried the Tunisian knit stitch, I have a video tutorial for it too!

The texture created with the Tunisian knit stitch is beautiful and with Mary Maxim Mellowspun DK Yarn, the drape and squish factor of this shawl is amazing. I love how wide and long the Tunisian Fade Shawl is, which makes it super cozy as a shawl or a thick scarf. The easy color changing stripes create a beautiful faded look that I am absolutely in love with and I hope you love it too!

Let’s get started! This is what you will need.
