Falling Leaves Beanie – Crochet Pattern

Hi Makers! My name is Claire Goodale, and I’m the maker and crochet designer behind the crochet blog E’Claire Makery. I love creating crochet patterns that help teach people new skills, and are easy enough so that anyone can make them. Today I am so excited to share with you my latest tapestry crochet pattern in collaboration with Clover USA: the Falling Leaves Beanie.

The Falling Leaves Beanie is a beginner tapestry crochet hat pattern that is made using single crochets. The beanie is decorated with beautiful fall leaves and rolling vines to help capture the way the fall colors change the landscape. It uses simple stitches to make this fall themed beanie.

The beanie is made from the bottom up, and is worked in one piece so that there is no seaming at all. You only need to know how to double crochet, single crochet, work in the round, and do basic color work. It you’ve never done tapestry crochet before, I have a wonderful tutorial on my blog that walks you through each step called the Beginner’s Guide to Tapestry Crochet. It’ll help you feel comfortable with tapestry crochet in no time.

Thanks to my friends at Clover USA I am so happy to be able to release this free pattern for you to help bring some of nature to your fall wardrobe. You can make your very own Falling Leaves Beanie on my blog using the free crochet pattern or with the premium PDF copy in my shop!

Materials:

This pattern is made using Lion Brand Heartland yarn in Kings Canyon and Yosemite. You could use any worsted weight yarn though in your favorite color combination!

All of the other great tools that I used can be found through Clover:

I’ve also created a video tutorial that walks you through how to make the Falling Leaves Beanie. It shows you how to crochet the hat along with how to make the pom pom using Clover USA’s amazing tools. You can find the tutorial on my Youtube Channel below.

I hope you enjoy making your Falling Leaves Beanie! Be sure to tag me @eclairemakery on Instagram or Facebook if you make your own Falling Leaves Beanie, so that I can share it! You can find more free crochet patterns and tutorials on my blog!

Happy stitching,

~Claire
