Thursday Threads – Trick-or-Treat Bag
Every Trick-or-Treater needs a special bag to carry all the sweet treats awaiting them on Halloween.
Spend an afternoon creating this quick and simple bag for your little ghouls and monsters using Clover’s Create-a-Strap, Sew Lazy Dreamy Fleece Sew-in and your basic sewing supplies.
For this project you will need:
2- 11″x 12″ cuts of fabric for the bag
2- 11″x 12″ pieces of Sew Lazy Dreamy Fleece Sew-in
2- 1″ x 16″ cuts of fabric for the straps
1- Package of Clover’s 1″ Create-a-Strap
Additional tools:
Place wrong side of fabric to Dreamy Fleece Sew-In, fold fabric over top of Dreamy Fleece Sew-In and straight stitch along the top.
Place right sides together, straight stitch along sides and bottom leaving 1/4″seam.
Sew corners 1 1/2″ from corner, trim excess leaving 1/4″ seam allowance.
Turn bag right side out
Follow package instructions for creating the 1″ strap
Attach straps to bag
Add buttons or other embellishment
