MATERIALS:
- Clover Amour Crochet Hook (5.5mm)
- Clover Patchwork Scissors
- Clover Darning Needle
- Clover Stitch Markers
- poly-fil
- worsted weight yarn in red, pink, and white
ABBREVIATIONS:
- ch: chain
- sl st: slip stitch
- st: stitch
- sts: stitches
- sc: single crochet
- sc2tog: single crochet 2 together
- hdc: half double crochet
- hdc2tog: half double crochet 2 together
PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS:
NECK TIE:
With white, ch 96.
- Row 1: 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc in the next 2 sts, 1 hdc in each st across to the last 3 sts, 1 sc in the last 3 sts. Ch 1, turn.
- Row 2: Sc2tog over the first two sts, 1 sc in the next st, 1 hdc in each st across to the last 3 sts, 1 sc in the next st, sc2tog over the last two sts. Ch 2, turn. Finish off.
Now count in 30 sts from each side and place a stitch marker. You will have two st markers on your piece.
With red, attach yarn in one of the stitches that has a st marker.
- Row 1: Ch 2, hdc2tog over the first two sts (use the same space as the ch 2 for your first st), 1 hdc in eachst across until the last two sts (the one before your st marker and where your st marker is placed). Hdc2tog over the last two sts. Ch 2, turn.
- Row 2-16: Hdc2tog over the first two sts, 1 hdc in each st across until the last two sts, hdc2tog over the last two sts. Ch 2, turn.
- Row 17: Hdc2tog over the first two sts, hdc2tog over the last two sts. Ch 2, turn.
- Row 18: Hdc2tog over the two remaining sts. Finish off. Weave in ends.
BORDER:
With pink, attach yarn in any st along the strap and ch 1.
- Round 1: 1 sc in each st around the entire piece evenly. Join with a sl st to the first sc. Finish off. Weave in ends.
FRINGE:
With white yarn, cut strands about 5” in length (you will trim them later).
With three strands together, fold them in half and insert them through one of the sc sts. Then grab the ends and insert through the loop created. Then pull tight to secure.
Repeat this in every other st along the entire triangle piece.
PUFFY HEART:
Take your felt and cut a heart any size you would like. Place it on the center of your bandana and with yarn (or thread) sew it in place. Before you sew the entire heart on, take a little bit of poly-fil stuffing and stuff some in there. Then continue closing up the heart.
