Pom-Pom Gnome Ornament- DIY Tutorial

It is officially the Holiday season! I love to be able to create handmade gifts for loved ones.
These trendy little pom-pom gnomes are a quick project. When paired with a gift card, they
make for a really nice and thoughtful gift.

Materials: Clover 45 mm pom-pom maker, empty toilet paper tube, cotton balls, scissors, hot
glue, 2 colors of yarn, twine, and mini craft bells.

1. Cut your toilet paper tubes into 1-inch rounds.
2. Using the yarn color you have chosen for your hat, trim it into 8-inch strips. You will
need approximately 50 strips if using a medium-weight yarn.
3. Fold your yarn strip in half, and feed the looped end through the center of the
toilet paper tube. Bring the 2 loose ends up and over the outside of the tube, and
feed them through the yarn loop, then pull tight.

4. Repeat this process with about 50 strips of yarn until the tube is completely
covered.

5. Take all loose yarn ends, and feed them back through the center of the
tube, to help create a nice brim for your hat.
6. Using cotton balls and a few dabs of hot glue, stuff the inside of the hat to give it
some structure.
7. Cut a strip of yarn, and tie it around the entire top of the loose ends of the hat,
fastening with a knot. Trim all the loose ends to give it the appearance of a
pom-pom.
8. Use your 45 mm Clover pom-pom maker to make a full, white, pom-pom. Make
sure to trim it up nicely, as this will be your “beard”.
9. Use hot glue to glue the pom pom in place, underneath the hat
10. Hot glue a mini bell to the center of the white pom pom to act as a nose.
11. Turn your gnome into an ornament by tying a piece of twine or ribbon through the
back of the hat, and fasten with a knot.
