Sunny Hanging Basket- Crochet Pattern

Hi everyone, I’m Erin from CraftsEverywhere! Today I’m going to share a crochet pattern for the Sunny Hanging Basket. You can use it for succulents, air plants, produce, etc. A friend commissioned me to make some hanging baskets out of twine that they could use for potatoes and onions a few months ago and this pattern was born. I started making them in different sizes and then couldn’t stop.

I used to have a black thumb (and a cat) so I could never have any inside plants but this summer they seem to have multiplied in my house. I got an aloe and a succulent on a whim earlier this year and realized that I can keep plants alive! The number of plants in my house seems to keep growing but the amount of space available to keep them in does not. The solution was these adorable plant hangers so that I can put them all over my walls too.

The pattern is written for three sizes. Small will fit pots from 2.5-3.75″, Medium 4-5″ and Large 5-7″.

This is an advanced beginner-friendly project that uses the same pattern for all three sizes with different hook sizes and yarn weights. It can be adjusted easily for any size you want to make.

If you’d like an ad-free version of the pattern, you can find that on Etsy or Ravelry. You can also check out all my other patterns there too and find me on Instagram for daily posts.
