Independence Day Absorbent Coaster- Crochet Pattern

Hello! It’s Jennifer Ryan, the designer and blogger behind Celtic Knot Crochet. I am excited to be sharing a patriotic crochet project here on the Clover blog!

My birthday is around July 4th and I have always loved the colors red, white and blue! I love how they look so bright and festive. Plus, they remind me to be thankful for our country and for those who serve every day.

This project is crocheted in just 5 rounds and with cotton yarn which makes it perfect for an absorbent coaster and an Independence Day decoration!  I made 3 coasters changing the placement of each color  – which version do you like the best?

Plus, you can make smaller stars to add to your décor just by adding a slip stitch edging to Round 2.

This project does use some cluster stitches and a puff stitch so if you need some help with those, not to worry! I’ve created a step-by-step video tutorial that you can find on my Youtube Channel here: https://youtu.be/kz8i7zNyGQM
