Donna Beanie – Crochet Pattern

Hello! This is Kathy Olivarez, the designer behind Kathy’s Crochet Closet. I’m happy to be back on the Clover Blog with a new crochet project: the Donna Beanie!

Cold weather is not letting up where I live, so a new, cozy hat in February will be a great pick-me-up to get through the rest of winter. The Donna Beanie features shell, ripple, and puff stitches on top of a stretchy, ribbed brim. You can make the slightly slouchy beanie in one solid color or try self-striping yarn to really show off the wavy, textured stitches.

I used two different Lion Brand yarns for this project. The solid beanie is made with Heartland and the multi-colored version is made with Heartland and Ferris Wheel, a self-striping yarn.  Both are worsted weight (size 4) and super soft. The hook I used is my favorite Clover Amour hook in the size J-6mm.  I can crochet all day with these comfortable Amour hooks!

Let’s get started!
