We will be at Stitches West 2020! Stitches West will take place from February 20-23, 2020 in Santa Clara, California. You can find us at booth #803 for product demonstrations. We will also have products for sale at our booth.

Classes

Beginner Shuttle Tatting: Learning the Basics 

with Carol Mesimer

Taking the mystery out of tatting is easier than you imagined. There is only one two-step knot used to make this intricate lacework. Students will learn how to make chains and rings and how to learn to read modern patterns for interesting designs.

Taking place: Friday | Feb. 21 from 2pm to 5pm

What to bring: 

  • Notebook and Pencil

Working in the Round: How to Knit the Magic Loop

with Eloise Wagers

Hands on class to understand the technique of using our Interchangeable Knitting Needles to knit a seamless circle… great for knitting socks, caps, sleeves etc. instead of using double point needles! Pattern, Takumi knitting needles and materials will be provided to knit an eyeglass case using the Magic Loop technique.

If you are not adept at knitting with double points – learning the Magic Loop technique is for you! Easy to learn, only looks complicated.

As a bonus for embellishment, Tassel Makers and Pom-Pom Makers will be demonstrated and available for class use.

Note: Must have basic knitting knowledge. This class will not cover basics.

Tunisian Crochet 101

with Sheila Rolfer

Tunisian crochet is almost a hybrid of crochet and knitting but only requires one hook as you create fabric. One row worked a row of stitches onto the hook, then next row crochets them off for a texture unique to this technique. Sheila will demonstrate the basic techniques as you practice using our interchangeable Tunisian Crochet hooks and cords.

Taking place: Saturday | Feb. 22 from 2pm to 3:30pm

What to bring: 

  • Crochet Basics: sharp scissors, notebook, pen or pencil with eraser, tape measure, small calculator

We will also be participating in the Stitch Marker Swap along with many other booths. Swap in your old stitch markers for new ones. A great way to find the perfect stitch marker for you. Just look for Sammy on buttons.
