Wonder Clips are a great alternative to pins, especially when working with heavy weight fabrics, piles, and vinyls.
They can serve many purposes, which is why we might have a lot of them everywhere.
Here are a few options of Wonder Clip holders you can make to help keep them organized.
Wonder Clip Holder Felt and Fabric Frill Flower
Supplies:
- Flower Frill Template (Art No. 8461)
- Needle and quilting thread
- Votive candle holder
- Glue
Directions:
- Make one large or extra large flower frill following the package instructions.
- Glue flower frill into candle holder.
Wonder Clips Holder Gloves and Watering Can
Supplies:
- Needle Felting Daisy Mold (Art No. 8923)
- Pen Style Needle Felting Tool (Art No. 8901)
- Natural Wool Roving Orange (Art No. 7928)
- Natural Wool Roving Lime Green (Art No. 7921)
- Natural Wool Roving Brown (Art No. 7931)
- One strip lime green felt 3×7″
- One pair child’s size garden gloves
- One small watering bucket
- Glue
Directions:
- Make a felted Daisy following
the package instructions. - Fold the felt strip in half along the long side; stitch raw edges together.
- Clip felt every 1/4″ just to the stitching creating loops.
- Glue gloves to the watering can, then create a circle from the felt loops and glue to the gloves.
- Glue and insert the Daisy into the felt loops circle.
Wonder Clips Holder Purple/Lavender Felt
Supplies:
- Flower (Art No. 8461)
- Frill template
- Lavender felt strip 4×7″
- Three green felt leaves
- One votive candle holder
Directions:
- Make one large flower frill petal
- Fold felt strip along the long edge; stitch raw edges; clip to the stitching every 1/4″ then cut the loops
- Glue 3 leaves evenly around the edge of the candle holder.
- Roll the loop strip and glue into the candle holder.
- Glue and insert the flower frill petal into the center
Wonder Clips Holder Pink Felt Loops
Supplies:
- Cream felt strip 4×4 1/2″
- Pink felt strip 4×8″
- Dark red felt strip 4×10″
- Plastic ramekin
Directions:
- Fold all felt strips along the long edge; then stitch the raw edges together in a chain…do not separate
- Cut felt strips at the fold edge every 1/4″
- Roll stitch edge starting with the cream color and place glue on the felt by the stitching as you roll. (Note: Roll tight enough to fit into the ramekin).
- Glue into ramekin.
Wonder Clip Holder Knitted Base and Felted Rose
Supplies:
- Needle Felting Mold Rose (Art No. 8921)
- Pen Style Needle Felting Tool (Art No. 8901)
- Natural Wool Roving Pink (Art No. 7926)
- Natural Wool Roving Moss Green (Art No. 7922)
- One preemie hat or sleeve cuff from an old sweater
- Polyester stuffing
Directions:
- Make the felting rose following package instructions.
- Fold ribbing from cuff or hat back on itself; fill with stuffing.
- Cut a felt circle the size of the base and glue in place.
- Glue felted rose on top of stuffing.
