Hairpin Lace Patterns
Researching hairpin lace patterns, history, tools and such I came across several pictures without instructions. I did find one tutorial on circular hairpin lace design work but it was in Spanish and the only Spanish I know is “how much please” and “where is the bathroom please”….didn’t help me much with the tutorial but I was able to watch and understand the process.

This bag was great for Autumn/Winter….. This bag will easily carry me through Spring/Summer dressing. Great with casual crops and tees, yet just dressy enough for Summer sundresses.

In order for Mel and me to get good solid sewing time together…I need to be there during the week. So I pack up my “office”…

Getting Started with Hairpin Lace
I have been having so much fun working with Clover’s Hairpin Lace Tool I have 4 projects going at the same time. Each time I start to research the lace technique I come across a new pattern that I just have to try. Several sites linked Hairpin Lace with Maltese Lace but I found it was only a small part of what is classified as Maltese Lace and is linked with broomstick lace (another blog bit later).
