Even though it dates back almost 12,000 years ago, weaving has recently become more popular since the introduction of woven wall hangings and textural decor pieces gracing home decor sites and Pinterest. I have wanted to try the time-honored craft for a while, and so I was thrilled when I discovered that Clover makes a Mini Weaving Loom. Clover has helped to modernize this time-honored technique by making it an accessible art form for crafters like me, and I am so excited for you to try it today!

These coasters are not only functional, but are so pretty and fun to look at! I love the whimsical flair that they add with their textural and colorful elements. The beauty with this DIY is that you customize it to whatever colors you want!

This was my second time weaving and working with Clover’s Mini Weaving Loom (I created a wall hanging last year), and like their other amazing products Clover’s Mini Weaving Loom was so simple and fun to use. This technique can be used to create a simple square motif, and it can be applied to many things. Whether that is coasters like I created here, or a homemade gift like a potholder or a small purse. The possibilities are endless.
