Abbreviations

ch – chain
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
tc – triple crochet
sl st – slip stitch
BLO – crochet into the back loops only
Materials
- Amour Crochet Hook N/P (10.0 mm) – Art. No 1057/NP
- Patchwork Scissors Mini – Art. No 493/CW
- Yarn needle
- 24 mm safety eyes
- Bernat blanket yarn:
- Sunsoaked
- Crimson
- Scrap of black (mouth)
- 2 scraps of pink (blush)
*If you would like to make this pattern with 4 worsted weight yarn, you can use a 4mm hook and 10mm safety eyes. The fry box will measure approximately 2 ½ inches tall and 2 ½ inches wide. The fries will measure approximately 3 inches long and ¾ inch wide.*
The fry box will measure approximately 5 ½ inches tall and 5 ½ inches wide. The fries will measure approximately 7 inches long and 1 ½ inches wide.
Fry Box (crimson)
- Ch 10
- starting at the second ch from the hook sc 9 across
- turn and sc 9 down the other side of your ch (18)
Start working in the round.
- inc, sc 7, inc, inc, sc 7, inc (22)
- BLO sc around (22)
6-11. sc around (22) (6 rounds)
- dc, hdc, sc, sl st 8, sc, hdc, dc 3, tc 4, dc 2, sl st (22)
Fasten off and weave in your tail.
- Place eyes between rounds 9 and 10 and 2 stitches apart.
- Embroider blush directly below the eye, approximately one stitch in width, going outwards.
- Embroider the mouth in-between and just below the eyes, forming a V shape. Tie your tails in knots together on the inside of the fry box.
Fries (sunsoaked)
You can make as many fries as you like. For mine I made 5.
- Ch 15
- Starting at the second ch from the hook sc 14 across.
(Ch 1 and turn at the end of each row.)
3-5. sc across (14)
- Fold your fry and sl st the sides together. Make sure to line up your stitches as you go. Fasten off and weave in your tails.
