Pumpkin Spice Basket – Crochet Pattern

The Pumpkin Spice Basket is the perfect little addition to your fall home décor. This cute pumpkin basket is made with super bulky yarn, works up fast and is great for organizing!

There are also instructions to add a handle, making it a great basket for little ones to carry along with them.

Pumpkin Spice Basket Pattern

Using a 12mm Crochet Hook

Starting: MC

Round 1: CH 2, 9 DC in the MC, SS to the first ST (9 ST total)

Round 2: CH 2, 2DC in each ST around, SS to the first ST (18 ST total)

Round 3: CH 2, *DC, 2DC* repeat* around, SS to the first ST (27 ST total)

Round 4: CH 1 SC in each ST around, SS to the first ST (27 ST total)

Round 5: CH 1 and turn, *FPTRC, SC* repeat* around, FPTRC, SS to the first ST (27 ST total)

Note: you will place the FPTRC in the DC from row 3

Round 6: CH 1 and turn, SC in each ST around, SS to the first ST (27 ST total)

Round 7: CH 1 and turn, *FPTRC, SC* repeat* around, FPTRC, SS to the first ST (27 ST total)
Note: you will place the FPTRC in the previous FPTRC ST

Using a 7mm Crochet Hook

Round 8: SS in each ST around, SS to the first ST

Note: this round will make the basket opening smaller, creating the rounded look

If you’re making a basket without a handle your Pumpkin Spice Basket is complete! Fasten off and weave in all ends!

If you’re adding a handle, do not fasten off and continue to the Handle Instructions

Handle Instructions

Using a 7mm Crochet Hook

Step 1: CH 20 (or the length that you would like your handle to be)

Step 2: SS in the ST directly across from the start of the CH (13 ST from the starting CH)

Fasten off and weave in all ends.

Your Pumpkin Spice Basket is complete!
